Some Singing

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with either Mendip or caving.

27 October 2005, I recorded these ladies singing in the village hall of Razatskiye Bolsuny (Republic of Belarus).   Although they now live in Belarus, they are Cossacks.   They have been singing together for over thirty years, originally getting together during the winter evenings to spin and knit and sing at the same time.

It would have been good to smuggle them back to Mendip, they could certainly teach us a thing or two about singing !

Let me hear the singing -
(Remember, this is not a massed choir, it is eight grandmothers)
